This week Fibre Heroes have announced their ultrafast full fibre network has gone live in three additional towns in Worcestershire and Derbyshire.

£14.1 Million investment in Worcestershire

FullFibre’s Fibre Heroes has invested over £14.1million to bring an ultrafast full fibre network to three new Worcestershire towns, with services now going live.

This long-anticipated upgrade to the current network means that residents in Badsey, Malvern and Pershore will now have access to 100% fibre optic ultrafast internet as it rolls our across the towns. This is in addition to the eight towns already going live in the County, including Bewdley, Droitwich, Evesham, Offenham & The Littletons, Salwarpe, Stourport-on-Severn and Wychbold.

The new ultrafast services will provide more dependable internet connections, with 1Gbps download speeds that are 20 times faster than the national average.

CSO of Fibre Heroes, James Warner, comments, “We are really proud to be rolling out our wholesale only fibre network in these three key towns, and adding to the seven towns we are already live and building in in Worcestershire.

Derbyshire update

Its not just in Worcestershire Fibre Heroes have been busy in Derbyshire areas of North Wingfield have gone live this week.

FullFibre’s Fibre Heroes have invested £4.1million to bring an ultrafast full fibre network to North Wingfield businesses and residents, with services now live.

This long-anticipated upgrade to the current network means that residents in North Wingfield now have access to 100% fibre optic ultrafast internet. This new service provides more dependable internet connections, with 1Gbps download speeds that are 20 times faster than the national average.

Homes and business in the town are now live, with services available through multiple internet providers.

North Wingfield is one of a number of Derbyshire towns being served by Fibre Heroes, whose mission is to connect the underserved towns of the UK with superior broadband.
