We are very excited to announce we have officially launched our own ISP NSMnet Ltd providing bespoke broadband to suit all budgets and requirements. To celebrate the launch readers of this site can quote FTTP Pro to get your first month service free!

Why are we launching our own ISP business?

Its a very good question especially when there are literally hundreds of ISPs in the UK including the very big names that also bundle other services like mobile phones and TV down to the niche ones that cater for techy people like myself it is a very crowded market and a tough one to compete in.

For those that don’t know my name is Nathan Morgan and I have been into technology for as long as I can remember and have worked in IT since leaving college back in 2011 with the past serval years specialising in Cyber Security.

I also have a deep passion for ISP/Broadband related stuff which started at a young age back in the Dial UP days then ADSL tweaking every last kbps out of our line then similar with FTTC/VDSL using a Openreach VDSL modem I unlocked with the help of Kitz website.

Then when Full Fibre started to gain momentum was when I started this website back in 2021 with an aim of helping people understand what Full Fibre is and if/when they can get it.

Being the techy in the family/friend group I have been helping and supporting family, friends, colleagues, neighbours etc with their tech issues for many years and this includes broadband.

I have found that dealing with multiple ISPs some of which are better than others most wont speak to me even after the account holder has authorised me to do so on their behalf makes it difficult for me to support.

Its been a dream of mine for many years to start my own ISP business and I decided this year to go for it.

Being the ISP means I will be able to provide the support I do anyway while giving me more control and visibility to provide better support.

My vision is to build on what I have been offering via this website and shropshirefullfibre.co.uk for many years helping people find the right broadband soliton that works for them.

We will be up front and say we are not the cheapest ISP out there (nor are we the most expensive) there are a number of reasons for this:

  • We are small scale which means we do not have the buying power/leverage bigger providers have over wholesale pricing etc.
  • Many providers will sell at a loss for the first year or so of a new customer contract known as a loss leader to tempt people in with a ‘deal’ to then hike the price later on. We provide fair and honest pricing and do not rise prices mid contract and endeavour to keep pricing the same where possible at the end of your contract.
  • Related to the above as strange as it sounds we do not want a flood of customers as we want to make sure we look after our customers and provide our excellent service and support.
  • We provide real static IPv4 and IPv6 address no CGNAT cost cutting here!
  • We provide you with real human support and personalised service no AI chat bots or off shore call centres to cut costs.

How it works

Our business model is bespoke broadband for all budgets.

When you visit our ISP website you wont find any pricing or automated ordering systems that’s because in keeping with this websites values we offer everyone (homes and business) a free consultation and personalised proposal document.

For home residential customers we have created a simple online questionnaire form that helps us gather your requirements (if you prefer you can also book a call to go over this).

We then do all the leg work of checking exactly what services you can get at your property, analyse your home broadband setup and requirements together with your budget  and then build up a proposal document with recommend options this includes the broadband service, speed, price, router/home network equipment recommendations and more.

We then send you the proposal and offer a follow up call to discuss the proposal at this stage if we are able to offer a service within your budget and requirements and your happy with the proposal we then discuss next steps.

We make switching to us as smooth as possible we are fully signed up to One Touch Switching which means we can cancel your current service without you having to speak with your current provider.

For business the process is similar except we do not have an online questionnaire form for business (yet) therefore we offer a free call to go over your business requirements.

There is no One Touch Switching for business yet however we ensure the switching over to our services is as smooth as possible.

We offer this personalised service to ensure we find the right solution for the customer even if that is not a service with us end of the day we want the customer to be happy.

There is absolutely no obligation and it is 100% free to reach out to us and get your initial consultation and proposal.

Why choose NSMnet?

Put simply its the personalised bespoke service we offer and the extra lengths we go to for our customers to give you a couple of examples of this, we had a potential customer approach us for help when their existing provider completely mucked up a switch to VOIP.

The existing provider had charged them £200 for an upgrade which promised a smooth transition to VOIP, they could use their existing telephones and keep their number and at the same time have a upgrade to Full Fibre.

The provider failed on all points, they lost their existing number, sent out new Yealink phones the customer did not know how to setup and use and they were given an ADSL copper connection instead of the promised full fibre.

We stepped in and first off setup the new Yealink phones to try and get their landline back which was when we discovered they had lot their number, we then contacted the existing provider on their behalf to get their number back.

On the broadband front having attended site in person we could see their was Full Fibre at the end of the driveway on the pole and we contacted Openreach to get the error in the records updated so the property now shows as FTTP is available and ready to order most ISPs would have just done the basic checks and assumed full fibre was not available at the address.

We did all the above free of charge with no obligation to take our services.

Another example is a recent customer install that did not quite go to plan.

We had ordered a brand new Full Fibre service with an alt net and had three missed install appointments spanning a few weeks.

While the customer had their existing TalkTalk service live they were facing a hefty out of contract charge for another months service we stepped in and provided a temp 5G internet connection free of charge until the Full Fibre was installed and cancelled the TalkTalk service avoiding the hefty bill.

Those are just a couple of examples of where we go the extra mile and make sure our customers are happy we look after customers and potential customers from initial contact though to install and ongoing service support.

When you contact us for support you don’t get an AI chat bot or call centre you get though to a real human who does not read off a script.

As well as our excellent support each broadband package gets:

  • Static IPv4 (1 as standard and you can request more i.e. /29 for a small additional cost)
  • Static IPv6 /56 subnet
  • (Optional) Network level Advert and Malware blocking that blocks most threats and adverts.
  • DDoS protection
  • Unlimited Data usage and no slow downs at peak times
  • No Mid-Contract price hikes
  • Bring your Own Router, we do not supply a router as standard instead we let you use your own and can provide recommendations as part of your proposal.

We can also provide a managed install service where we setup your router and home network and ensure all your devices are connected either on site if local to Shrewsbury, Shropshire or remotely.

For business we offer a range of related services that can help take the stress out of managing different suppliers and we can also help reduce costs.

We are also big on Privacy unlike some ISPs we do not sell any of your data onto 3rd party’s.
